Operation Vermont Cares is looking for Vermont food packers and producers to participate in our Ready to Prepare: Dinner to Share program. Foods must be non-perishable and heat resistant (no chocolates for example). Food must be in factory sealed packages and labels must include content information, lot ids, and date codes. Foods must be packaged in plastic, mylar, film, or foil containers. Plastic bottles should have inner seals. Food producers without packaging facilities which meet these criteria can be put in touch with manufacturers who do. We are looking for snack foods, seasoning packets, beverage mixes, soup mixes, hard candy, dried fruit, dried meat products, nuts (if packaged seperately), chips, and non-perishable dips. Foods should not require refrigeration, and should be packaged in relatively small quantities. Make a Vermonter's day... send a bit of home in our next Care Package. Contact Us!

Support Vermont's National Guard and troops serving overseas. Based in the Mad River Valley, Operation Vermont Cares creates care packages for our service men and women. Vermont has citizen soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines serving in theaters around the world... now, finally, a Vermont family can send their support and friendship to them. It is no longer allowed to ship to "any service member," but we can send a Vermont Care package directly to someone serving overseas... so sign up your Vermonter: Sign a Service Member Up! |
